My new radio play - 'The Secret File of Harry Chen', is a half hour drama inspired by the strange rumours around the disappearance of Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt in 1967, namely the suggestion that he defected to communist China, making his escape by submarine. In the play, the protagonist, Doctor Mike Compton, an eye witness to the disappearance, while on holiday in Hong Kong, sees a very old European man he recognises as Harold Holt.
