Dad

My Dad was an amusing character. He was the poster child for Workaholics Anonymous. Most of my memories of him growing up were sitting at his desk working. To him, work was life! It saddened me the day he was forced into retirement since I knew that without work his long term survival was unlikely. Thankfully he lasted quite a few years in retirement before the fateful day that my little brother died. That, I suspect, took the wind out of his sails once and for all.
