1. Jake cooks some stew and gets his pal Fork the Orc to taste it. This should give you an idea of Jake's character.
2. Jake gets clobbered by adventurers. My favorite critic reported great amusement at seeing "Jake" all scrunched up, so I will attempt to use more Jake visual humor.
3. I got to see a live performance of Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra. The performers were good, but I was a bit disappointed at seeing some british lady with her white white skin and oh-so-triangular nose play the queen of Egypt. Anyway, in this comic, Cleopatra is suddenly available, and who else but a snake would be ready to pick her up when she's feeling down?
4. I really tried to make with the visual humor here. This one wasn't so popular.
5. Racism! Once more, the Goblinoids are keeping a Reptile man down.
6. WARNING! This comic features a naked lady. You have been warned. For many artists, any day you get to draw a naked lady is a good day. Anyway, Jake has ulterior motives for dissuading his friends from visiting the naughty lady show. Jake's little friend is an Imp. I haven't named the Imp yet, but I'm leaning towards Crimp.
7. Vampires "live" for a long time... Perhaps too long.
8. I didn't like the Lion King movie. Look, people, the natural order of the world will not collapse if a male royal line is disrupted. Free your mind from your inner sense of king worship!
9. This is the classic 'waiter-there's-a-fly-in-my-soup' joke. Jake is getting served by a Kobold.
10. Jake has a scam selling (what else?) snake oil. The best part about this comic is Jake's disguise; this is more of the visual humor I'm working on.
11. Jake and Fork burglarize a dark elf temple. It turns out these dark elves worship a bug goddess who gives the dark elves special powers. Once again, I tried a visual gag, but this gag didn't work so well.
12. This final (?) Jake cartoon features a gnoll, a (drow?) elf, and a harpy. It can be redeemed for a tour of the Snake Eye factory; hence, a plot hook. In my game world, the factory is owned and run by vampires your players can fight. Now that I look at the cartoon, I realize how embarrassingly poorly I lettered this comic. Sorry. Write me and I can re-letter it. I provided it to my players by putting it in a prop: a packet of Snake-Eye Rodent Jerky (Honey Mustard flavor). Some of my players are vegetarian, so the "jerky" was actually a shredded coconut snack bar.
