This 50 ohm step attenuator covers the frequency range DC to 1 GHz. The two controls each operate a set of cams that select or deselect individual attenuator pads using microswitches.
This arrangement provides 1 dB steps from 0 dB to 22 dB and 20 dB steps from 0 dB to 120 dB.
It was not an easy task to set up the frequency response and VSWR of the unit. This was done in part by bending small vanes fitted close to the attenuator resistors and by careful use of silver bearing paint on the resistors themselves.
This one is in immaculate condition and includes the front protection cover that contains clips for accessories. It also includes the plastic dust cover that was sometimes supplied with instruments of this era.
