Meet The Doctor

Ryan-Jon Palmitesso DMD

Raised in Oswego, NY by my wonderful parents, Michael and Sherry Palmitesso, I knew early on that Dentistry was the right fit for me. With a background in carpentry and a passion for medicine and science, I knew that I could spend the rest of my life learning about dentistry without tire. I spent much of my college years in Hamilton College's chemistry labs. I took these experiences to The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where my thirst for knowledge continued. I was able to excel in the clinical portion of dental school thanks to years of working with my hands alongside of my father as a carpenter. I was asked early in my second year to oversee preclinical tutoring for underclassmen. I am a firm believer that you do not truly master a skill until after you teach it to others. My passion for medicine led me to pursue surgical training through elective classes with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. After dental school, I gained an even better understanding of facial trauma and emergency dentistry while completing a General Practice Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.  Since my residency, I have been sharing my time between two general dentistry practices in Rochester.  As a general dentist, my passion lies in restoring smiles.  My team and I are truly grateful when you give us your trust and allow us to revitalize your smile.
