Spatial Methods in Phylogeography and Population Genetics Lecture Manolo Perez

Spatial Methods in Phylogeography and Population Genetics - UFSCar 2019

A one week course that I gave to Genetics and Evolution Master's and PhD students in 2019. Classes were focused in spatial analyses carried in R. I talked about Species Distribution Modeling, Isolation by Distance, Isolation by Environment and Population Structure. All scripts, slides and tutorials can be found here (classroom code rjf4f52): https://classroom.google.com/c/MzY4NTk0NTMwMjha.

Some talks that I gave recently:

Here I presented the current results I am gathering for the Osteoglossiformes order, as part of my post-doc. I also presented an example of using Deep Learning for demographic model assessment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=calXYRsvTKE&t=2949s

ABC Model selection, as part of the NSF-SSB Phylogeography and Phylogenetics Workshop at Evolution Meeting 2015

A lecture with practical exercises to simulate genetic data under different demographic models and test them with Approximate Bayesian Computation. This talk was given as part of the Phylogeography session of the workshop, along with Anahí Espíndola, Bryan Carstens and Bryan O'Meara. Datasets used in the practical exercises for ABC are available here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!An30RV_2QfTigvcRcT6AvB2r0SW2VQ.

Phylogeography Workshop at UNICAMP-2014

Lectures for simulating genetic data and performing Approximate Bayesian Computation for demographic model testing, during a phylogeography workshop helded in Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), along with Bryan Carstens, Jordan Satler, Maria Tereza Thomé, Vera Solferini and Isabel Bonatelli. A link to all my lectures is available here.
