About me: 

My name is Manikandan Rangaswamy, and I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod, since December 2015. Recently selected for the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Visiting Scientist  2025-26,  to visit IEOR, IIT Bombay.  Prior to that, I was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and worked with Prof. Mrinal Kanti Ghosh. Before that, I worked as a Visiting Scientist at Stat-Math Unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bengaluru. I have completed PhD in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), under the supervision of Prof. Achyutha Krishnamoorthy. 

Research: 

My research interests primarily lie in Applied Probability and Stochastic Operations Research. More precisely, Stochastic Modelling and its Analysis of Queues/Reliability/Storage Systems, Stochastic Games in Queues, Telecommunications Networks and Applications.
