About me:

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod, where I have been working since December 2015. Also, I served as an INSA Visiting Scientist at the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, from January 12 to February 10, 2026.

Previously, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the mentorship of Prof. Mrinal Kanti Ghosh. I have also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Statistics and Mathematics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore. I completed my PhD in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), under the supervision of Prof. Achyutha Krishnamoorthy.

Research: My research interests primarily lie in Applied Probability and Stochastic Operations Research. More precisely, Stochastic Modelling and its Analysis of Queues/Reliability/Storage Systems, Stochastic Games in Queues, Telecommunications Networks and Applications.

During my visit as an INSA Visiting Scientist (January 11 to February 10, 2026), I delivered a talk titled “Equilibrium, Pricing, and Social Welfare in Observable and Unobservable Queueing–Inventory Systems with Optional Service” at the IEOR Department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, on February 9, 2026. I thank the Indian National Science Academy for the support and the IEOR Department for their warm hospitality and excellent arrangements.
Congratulations to my Ph.D. scholar Akhil Vijayan R on winning the Best Paper Award – Second Prize (Application Category) at ICORGTE 2026, held at the Indian Statistical Institute Delhi Centre during Jan 28-30, 2026, for presenting our joint work titled “Assessing the Impact of Replenishment Policies and Repair Mechanisms on Energy Management System Reliability”—a proud and well-deserved achievement! 🎉👏
Congratulations 🎉👏 to my Ph.D. scholar Salini K for winning the Young Scientist Award in the session on Mathematics & Statistics at the 32nd Swadeshi Science Congress for her presentation titled “Queueing-Inventory Systems with Delay-Sensitive Customers: An Efficiency Analysis.” The focal theme of the event was Transformative Science and Technology Education for Viksit Bharat, and it was organized at Central University of Kerala during January 7–9, 2026.
I am delighted to share that I have been selected for the INSA Visiting Scientist Award 2025–2026 by the Indian National Science Academy. This award supports my project, “Equilibrium Analysis of Service Systems with Strategic Agents,” which will be carried out at the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) Department, IIT Bombay.
We are happy to share that my first PhD student Arya P S successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on October 7, 2025. Her thesis, “Reliability Modelling and Analysis for the Performance Enhancement of Tethered High-Altitude Platform Systems,” makes valuable contributions to enhancing the reliability and performance of tethered high-altitude platform systems. Congratulations 🎉👏 and best wishes to her for a bright future.
