Software & Camera Instruction
To do any job well, it is essential to have a full understanding of your tools. With digital photography, you need to use software, even if you plan to do little or no “manipulation”, and an appreciation of how that software can help you is useful. Even simple cameras have adjustments and controls, which must be set correctly. Getting this right, along with the basics of photography are key to getting good pictures.
I offer one-to-one instruction in photography basics, camera usage and software. If you have a DSLR or a bridge camera, I can take you through all the controls to ensure that you know how to get the best results. Even if you have a simple compact or even shoot with a phone, I can help you make best use of the kit you have.
Software is a broad topic and I can offer guidance in various topics:
- using Photoshop Elements
- using “full” Photoshop
- using Lightroom to adjust and optimize your pictures
- using Lightroom to organize you growing library of images
- moving your Lightroom catalog from one computer to another
I charge my time on a per-hour basis, along with travel costs. A part of the fee from each engagement is donated to charity. If you would like to discuss how I might help you, please contact me [with no obligation!]: colin@MakeMyPicturesBetter.com
