Having a second pair of eyes look at your pictures is a great way to improve your photography. Even if those eyes do not belong to an experienced photographer, they will still see things that you missed. Having a specialist look is event better. This is the service that I offer. I will look at a collection of your images and tell you what is good about them and what might be improved and, where possible, I will show you the improvements. I promise to be honest, as I believe that constructive criticism is the best aid to improvement.
Here is how it works:
you send me some image files [normally 10]
I study and assess them
I make a video in which I go through each image in turn and critique it verbally and visually
I post the video to YouTube and send you the link [it is private - only you and anybody you share the link with can see it]
If you have any questions after the critique, I will do my very best to address them.
Here are an example of a critique video [the photographer has given me permission to share, of course]:
Here is how to use this service:
Email me on colin@MakeMyPicturesBetter.com and tell me a little about your photography
I will respond with an estimate of how long it will take for me to complete a critique - this will vary depending on my availability and workload
You send me the [10] pictures - this can be by email, or using a service like DropBox, or by sending a USB stick in the mail; in any case, you should send me the best quality/size images available, which may be the files straight out of your camera. Some information about how/why you took the picture would be helpful.
You pay the fee - £39 - via PayPal [you do not need a PayPal account - you can just use a credit/debit card]
I complete the critique and send you the link to the video and make my donation to charity
I am also willing to do critique sessions on a one-to-one basis - sitting in front of the computer and working on your images, explaining techniques and approaches as I go.
