Business Process Analytics and Simulation lab focuses on understanding, analyzing, and improving organizational processes through data-driven methods, modeling, and computational tools. The domain integrates techniques such as simulation (agent-based, system dynamics, discrete-event simulation), systems thinking, process mining, optimization, machine learning, and decision analytics to evaluate operational performance, identify inefficiencies, and support evidence-based decision-making. Digital technologies for Sustainable supply chain and circular economy are some of my ongoing interests and research projects.
Application domains include supply chain, trantsportation, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, digital platforms, agriculture and service systems, enabling organizations to enhance productivity, resilience, sustainability, and customer experience.
In addition to applications in private and corporate sectors, the research group also emphasizes Technology for development and social good as an important area of inquiry for development and social transformation. This includes understanding barriers/enablers of technology adoption, farm mechanisation, leveraging analytics and simulation approaches to address societal and developmental challenges related to farming, agriculture supply chain, energy sector sustainability, water governance, disaster response, mobility, food systems, and community resilience.
By combining technological innovation with social impact perspectives, the BPAS group aims to develop inclusive, scalable, and context-sensitive solutions that contribute to sustainable development and public value creation.
