L.V.I.A. Board committees are made up of interested Lakewood Village members who care about our neighborhood and lakes, and donate their time and effort to make Lakewood Village a great place to live. We are always looking for help on Board committees. Please take a moment and check out what they do for us... or better yet, give them a call and offer some of your time and ideas to help improve Lakewood Village.
The Water Resources Committee manages the ongoing maintenance of our lakes. Some of their tasks include:
Protect desirable plant life while controlling unwanted weeds
Maintain a desirable boating & swimming experience
Maintain a healthy ecosystem on our lakes
Manage & minimize costs for treatment
Maintain and increase property values
Please read our reports on the Water Resources page
Lakewood Village was created with specific Deed Restrictions. The Architectural & Ordinance Committee answers questions about what is allowed on our neighborhoods and offers guidance if members want to make changes or additions to their home.
Please feel free to give them a call to answer any questions regarding what is allowed in Lakewood Village.
One of Lakewood Village's best features are our Parks and Beaches. The Parks & Rec & Beaches Committee works hard to maintain the quality of the parks and beaches. They:
Clean up beaches annually
Remove unwanted trees from our parks
Manage the buoys and raft on our lakes
New to Lakewood Village? We offer a new Welcome Packet, including a directory of Members, plus a key for all boat ramps. Contact Denise Terry for details.
We encourage you to signal your interest in any of the Committees listed on this page by sending a note to Denise Terry. You will receive updates directly from the Committee in which you are interested.
Board members are residents of Lakewood Village that are committed to helping keep our neighborhood beautiful and well-run. The best place to see the Board in action is at our monthly meetings. All Board members are voted into office by the membership. Call any of us for more information. And... please consider joining the Board... it is a rewarding experience!
We always need help on the LVIA Board! The LVIA Board meets monthly to discuss proposals, issues, and decide on Lakewood Village’s future growth. The term of service on the Board is three years. The standing committees on the LVIA Board are:
Water Resources: water sampling, weed management, etc.
Parks & Recreation: park beach cleanup, suggestions for updating the beaches, etc.

Community Life organizes events such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Octoberfest, the Annual yard Sale and others.

Waterlog Editor: The Waterlog monthly newsletter has been an integral part of Lakewood Village for well over 30 years. Please help us keep up this tradition.
Note: If you can’t commit to a full-time Board position, please consider offering your time, talent, and energy for one or two projects to help LVIA grow and improve. Contact Marv Miller or any Board member for more information.
We are always looking for ideas for growth, change, and future projects in Lakewood Village! One of the best ways to stay informed is our updated email list which keeps Lakewood Village residents informed on many events. Readership is strong, and we are always looking to add new members to the list.
Sincerely,
Marv Miller
