Ancient metal objects have been found that belonged to the Huns. There are animal themes on these metal objects. Eagles and falcons are recurrent themes. It is stated, that bears symbolized peace, and that wolverines symbolized war. It is further stated, that Atilla used falcons as heraldic symbols on his weapons. (Predatory birds were also considered to be valued helping spirits for Shamans.) The Hun's religion also emphasized the motif of an animal as a guide. This appeared, for example, in one of their legends, which stated that they were led to the invasion of the Crimea by a doe or a cow.
