We have found Zoiper to be the best SIP client on average, so we suggest using that on iPhone. Below are the steps required to connect your iPhone to the PBX at voip.lsconsumer.co.za
Important notes:
This only works on the PE WiFi, the LSA WiFi in Centurion or if the phone is connected to the PE OpenVPN server. Speak to ICT about getting your phone connected to OpenVPN if required.
Do not "swipe away" the Zioper application if you wish to be able to receive calls via Zoiper on your iPhone
Zoiper will ask for a couple of permissions, give it all the permissions. The Notifications one is useful for making your phone alert you when someone is calling you.
Tap settings at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Accounts"
Tap the plus sign to add an account
On the next question tap Yes
On the next tap "Manual Configuration"
Tap on "SIP account"
Fill in your details.
"Account Name" is what you want to see on your screen
Domain is 192.168.10.166
"User name" is your extension number (mine is 246)
Password is the password provided by ICT
"Caller ID" is your name
"Use Outbound Proxy" is ON
"Outbound Proxy" is 192.168.10.166:5062
Scroll down until you see "Network Settings" and tap it
Make sure Transports is set to to UDP and set rport to "signalling & media" so the settings look like the following picture.
Tap Save, then tap the big green "Register" button on the account details screen.
You are now connected, all that remains is to change the notification style in your iPhone settings to make the incoming call notification more useful.
Go to iPhone settings and find Zoiper at the bottom of the list. Make sure all the permissions are switched on, then tap Notifications
Turn all the settings on and change the alert style when unlocked to "Alerts", this allows Zoiper to put an alert on your screen that you can directly answer or reject incoming calls from.
