Water services are included in your package.
Residents (12 months):
The water works with a Broward County Florida water meter (954-831-3250) or www.broward.org/waterservices. You open an account and you will have a monthly invoice that you can pay by mail or internet, follow the instructions on it.
Shutting off the water meter :
Dear Residents,
It is very important that if you plan to have the water to your home shut off after the season (and leave the park) you contact Water Services at 954-831-3250, to shut the meter off.
Do not attempt to do this on your own.
If you do so, and break a water line, you will be responsible for cost to fix it. It also affects all neighbors as the water to the entire mobile home section has to be shut off for the repair.
Once again, per Broward Water Services, if a guest needs to shut off the water meter, they must call 954-831-3250 and have the water department come out to do so.
If you wish to have a padlock put on the water valve, you must also ask Broward Water Services at 954-831-3250 and it will cost you $25. You will also have to ask them to remove the padlock before you arrive and it will cost you another $25.Also take note that you call Broward Water Services 3 days maximum before the date you want to close the valve and put a padlock. It should also be noted that to restore the water, you must call the same day to open the valve and remove the padlock
For stays under 1 month:
A fee of $4 per day is charged, based on standard sites.
For stays from 1 to 6 months:
A small form is provided upon arrival. You have to write down your meter when you arrive, then a month later you take the meter reading again, hand it over to the office to pay your first bill and so on every month. We advise you to take a picture of the meter to justify your readings. The name of the company for electricity is Florida Power Light (FPL).
Residents (12 months):
You must open an account with FPL. You may be required to make a deposit. Call 954-797-5000 or visit www.fpl.com. You will have a monthly invoice that you can pay by mail or internet.
