Pack 2 Organization
DENS
A den is a small group of Cub Scouts who are the same gender and in the same grade. The ideal size is 6 to 8 Cub Scouts. Den meetings or activities usually take place 1-2 times each month. Typically, dens work on rank advancement or go on outings such as hikes together.
Den Leaders - An adult, usually a parent, serves as a Den Leader. They carry out the activities related to adventures as they are presented in the Cub Scout’s handbook.
PACK
The pack is the larger group, with all the dens together. Pack 2 is a co-ed pack; we welcome both boys and girls. Pack meetings take place once a month. In addition to pack meetings, we occasionally have additional outings, such as fishing derbies, and family overnights or camping opportunities.
Cubmaster - The adult leader of the pack is the Cubmaster. In addition to serving as the master of ceremonies the Cubmaster provides support to Den Leaders.
Adult Participation - Lion and Tiger scouts must have a parent or other approved adult attend all events with them. All other ranks are encouraged to have an adult attend, but must have two-deep-leadership (two leaders or one leader and at least one other parent of a scout) for the option to drop off.
