Arabic Foundation I Course

Course Description:

This course is the first of six courses that offered through a 2-year Arabic studies program which is designed to enhance Qura’n & Sunnah understanding through learning the Arabic language. The program takes a comprehensive approach into reading, writing, understanding & speaking Arabic with special emphasis on grammar & understanding as well as building a strong Arabic vocabulary.

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this course, inshallah students should:

*Know the basic grammar in Arabic language.

*Understand the vocabulary & meaning of several Arabic texts

*Be familiar with several hundreds of Arabic words.

*Construct & use noun based sentences.

*Construct & use verb based sentences.

Course Prerequisite:

The ability to read & write the letters of Arabic alphabets.

Course Timing:

Thursday [06:00PM-08:00PM] & Saturday [05:30PM-07:30PM] starting from Saturday February 4th, 2012

16 years and up for brothers & sisters

1. First steps in Arabic Grammar

2. 80% of Qur'anic Words

3. Packet (includes text of selected Surahs, Hadeeth, & Arabic passages)

4. Dictionary

5. Handouts

Fees:

$80 for enrollment & books in which $30 will be given back to students if the student missed three sessions or less and took all given exams.

Attendance & Tardiness policy:

Attendance is mandatory & essential to benefit from the course. All students are expected to attend every class on time.
