Introduction to Arabic

(Vocab, basic grammar, listening & reading)Course Objectives:This course is an intermediary course between Qur’an/ Arabic Reading Course and Arabic Foundation I Course. The focus of this course will be on enhancing Arabic reading skills through selected Arabic texts along with introducing Arabic vocabulary. This course will not focus on grammar, and therefore only minimal Arabic grammar rules will be introduced.

Our aim in this course is to enhance reading skills and increase the speed and pace in which the student can read Arabic texts.

Every Monday & Wednesday [06:00PM-08:00PM] starting from Monday September 26th, 2011

Age

16 years and up for brothers & sisters

Prerequisites:

The successful completion of Qur'an/Arabic reading course or the ability to recognize Arabic letters, and read Arabic words.

Textbook & Material:

Will be provided on the first day of classes

Fees:

$80 for enrollment & books in which $30 will be given back to students if the student missed three sessions or less and took all given exams.

Attendance & Tardiness policy:

Attendance is mandatory & essential to benefit from the course. All students are expected to attend every class on time.
