Tickets given to the sellers will be registered on a recording sheet to ensure all books of tickets are tracked every week.
The Proxy to be named is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser. They are responsible to name a proxy if required and put the proxy’s name on the ticket at the time of purchase. Either the ticket holder or the proxy must be present for the draw. Name will be called 3 times in a fifteen-minute period (if required).
All tickets sold after the previous Wednesday’s draw time and tickets sold in the bar that night up to 8:00 pm, will be put into a drum. Ticket sales will stop at 8:00 pm sharp on the Wednesday night. All times are based on SaskTel time as displayed provincially on all cell phones. The draw will take place as soon as possible; right after 8:00 pm after the totals are calculated by the Lions designated control person.
Lions working or directly involved in working on Chase the Ace project are not eligible. Family members are eligible to play as draw is made in public location and in view of public in attendance. Non involved Lions members are also able to participate in purchasing tickets.
A person from crowd or a non-working Lion over 19 years of age will be asked to pull the ticket from the drum and give it to the Lion controlling the draw. One ticket will be drawn from the drum. The number and name of the winner will be announced by the Lion controlling the draw. The announcement will be done verbally and visually (as required) and will be announced in all areas of the bar. If not present will be called by phone asap & notified.
The dollars split is 20% for the person drawn that night, 30% for the progressive pot and the 50% will be for projects for the Regina Beach Lions. There are 10,000 tickets available and will run for 52 weeks. Total prize value is $25,500.00. Tickets may only be sold or purchased in Saskatchewan. No cheques are allowed in purchase of tickets.

A sign showing the name, ticket number and amount won will be displayed at the bar. This display will also show the size of the progressive pot and the remaining number of cards left for each week. This information is also posted on the Lions web page and the Lions Facebook page
The person’s ticket that was drawn will come forward. If they are not present the proxy’s name that is shown on the ticket will come forward on their behalf. The persons name on the ticket (not the proxy) will win 20% of the pot of the ticket sales from that night. This amount will be announced. They will then represent the ticket holder in trying to pick the Ace of Spades
The Ace will be shown to audience before and after. The cards will be shuffled in view of audience present, and the Lion in charge will spread out the cards and the person named on ticket or proxy will draw a card from the deck.
If they draw the Ace of Spades the remaining 30% progressive will get added to the weekly draw amount and paid to the winner. If any card other than the Ace of Spades is drawn; then the 30% is added to the progressive jackpot that grows every week. The progressive pot goes back to $ 0.00 and builds from that point on a weekly basis.
The deck is turned over again and the Lion will show that the Ace of Spades is still in the deck. The Pot will return to $0 and will be based on that week’s ticket sales. As result that game is over, and a new game begins with a new standard deck of playing cards “Unclaimed prizes will be held in a secure location by the Regina Beach & District Lions club for one year past the draw date. If prizes are still unclaimed, the prize/cash will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by SLGA”.
If the license expires or the 10,000 tickets are all sold, then the payout plan takes place. If the tickets left appear to be less than base numbers on average weekly sales, then the playout plan will take place. The Lions will continue to draw names that night one at a time for their chance to draw the Ace of Spades. The timing announcing, and displaying rules detailed below apply. So as example, there are 10 cards left and the Ace of Spades is in those 10 cards, a ticket will be drawn, announced, that person will come up – will be shown the Ace of Spades, deck will be shuffled by a Lions member, player will cut the deck and draw a card. If Ace of Spades is drawn, game ends and the progressive money only will be paid. The previous player would have won the daily pot of the 20% of the sales of that day.
If the Ace of Spades is not drawn, then another name will be drawn and so on until the ace is drawn. Each time the Ace of Spades will be shown, cards shuffled and spread out on table.
During regular play and until final draw down is announced a maximum of 10 tickets per purchase ($50.00 limit) is allowed.
The Lions will limit ticket sales once the playout night is announced, 8 tickets to one person at one time ($40.00) per person. A cheque will be issued to the winner’s name on the ticket. Signing authorities are same as our other Regina Beach Lion’s Club accounts of which no person’s are related
The card that was drawn will have a black line through it and the ticket stub that shows name of the person, ticket number and if applicable the proxy’s name will be stapled together. These will be stored for review by SLGA. The used ticket stubs as well will be stored for review by SLGA. All of these will be kept for three years. Signing authorities are registered with Conexus and two of four too sign. No signing authorities are related.
A detailed sheet that shows the Wednesday dates total sales, the 20/30/50% columns, winners and payouts will be kept for review by SLGA.
