Summer Workshop on Social Network Analysis - June 12-16, 2017

The 2017 LINKS Center workshop on social network analysis will be held June 12 through June 16, at the University of Kentucky. Registration opens March 31 and closes May 15.

The annual LINKS Center summer workshop provides training in social network analysis (SNA) at both beginner's and more advanced levels, across multiple social science disciplines. The workshop is taught by a team of instructors, including Filip Agneessens, Steve Borgatti, Dan Brass, Ron Burt, Rich DeJordy, Joe Ferrare, Dan Halgin, Jeff Johnson, David Krackhardt, Joe Labianca, Ajay Mehra, Brea Perry, Eric Quintane, Scott Soltis, and Tom Valente. In addition, a large number of very experienced TAs ensure that all participants can get individual attention. In total, this year we will have 30 instructors and TAs.

New for 2017

• Ron Burt joins us for a Networks and Organizations session.

• Brea Perry will be teaching a 4-day main track on egocentric network research

• A slew of new mini-modules on R, iGraph, ERGM, Siena, analyzing email data, etc

• The workshop will be held in our new College of Business & Economics building

Costs

The cost for the 1-week workshop is $1,800, but students pay only half price, $900. Lunches are included. In addition, University of Kentucky faculty and students can attend for a special price, space permitting. Full refunds for cancellations can be obtained up until one week before the workshop.
