Here is a list of restaurants within walking distance of campus. Many of these are campus style places that aren't very fancy. Note that the workshop will take place in the Biological Pharmaceutical building

Virginia & Harrodsburg Rd Area. Directly down Virginia Avenue from the Holiday Inn and the BioPharm building (about a 10-15 minute walk).

Buffalo Wild Wings - 1030 South Broadway (American Sports Bar)

Jalapeno’s - 1030 South Broadway (Mexican food)

Sonic - 1026 South Broadway (24hour Fast Food)

Dairy Queen - 350 Virginia Avenue (Fast Food)

Gumbo-YaYa - 1030 South Broadway (Cajun/New Orleans style food)

Penn Station - 1030 South Broadway (Sub Sandwiches)

Yama-to go - 1080 South Broadway (Fast food style Japanese Hibachi Grill (Closed on Sundays))

Sir Pizza - 1064 South Broadway (Pizza Place, open late and delivers, nothing very fancy)

Seki - 1093 South Broadway (Small Sushi restaurant, across Harrodsburg road from these other restaurants. Be careful crossing Harrodsburg road as it is quite busy.)

Limestone SW Area Travel north up Limestone to these restaurants from the BioPharm building. (About a 5 minute walk).

Pizza Hut: Delivery or Carryout‎ -545 S Limestone (Pizza, very small dine in section)

Phillips Market‎ - 553 S Limestone (Very greasy spoon diner/grocery. People rave about the catfish sandwich)

Arby's - 507 S Limestone (Fast food)

Limestone NE Area Continue north on Limestone to reach these restaurants. This is the main area of restaurants on UK's campus. (about a 10-15 minute walk from the BioPharm building).

Joe Bologna's - 120 W Maxwell St. (Pizza/Italian/unique Lexington restaurant nested in an old church then synagogue now pizza place)

Sav's Grill and West African Cuisine - 304 S. Limestone(West African, vegetarian friendly)

Pazzo's Pizza Pub‎ - 385 S Limestone (Pizza pub/beer bar/vegetarian friendly)

Han Woo Ri‎ - 371 S Limestone (Korean)

King Tut Grill/Masala -341 S Limestone (Basic Mediterranean & Indian under one roof)

Slice of Chicago - 433 Jersey St (Pizza by the slice, similar to Goodfella's)

Naticakes -108 Winslow St. (Frozen yogurt and cupcakes)

Goodfellas in Two Keys Tavern -333 S Limestone (NYC style Pizza by the slice nested within a college bar)

Sarah Mediterranean Grill -319 S. Limestone (Very basic Mediterranean)

The Local Taco -315 S. Limestone (Tacos/TexMex. Good sangria and margaritas)

S Upper St Area This area is next to Limestone NE and is also about a 10-15 minute walk from the BioPharm building.

Mellow Mushroom -503 S Upper St (Pizza/beer bar, Kind of Pazzos' psychedelic very vegetarian friendly cousin)

Raising Cane’s -544 S. Upper St (Chicken fingers, seriously just chicken fingers)

Jamba Juice -535 S Upper St (Smoothies)

Smashburger -535 S Upper St (Slightly higher-end than fast food burger place)

Firehouse Subs -535 S Upper St (Subs)

Fazoli’s -130 Winslow St (Fast food Italian)

Euclid & Rose Area About 15 minutes away from the BioPharm building. Might be far for lunch.

Bangkok House -275 Avenue of Champions (Thai, Vegetarian)

Coffea -358 Rose St. (Local coffee shop, free wifi, nice study spot. A few bakery items)

Papa John's Pizza‎ -265 E Euclid Ave (Pizza, Carryout/delivery)

Qdoba Mexican Grill‎ -265 E Euclid Ave (Fast food, Mexican, Burritos/Tacos)
