This is a short reading list for the workshop as a whole. Individual modules may have additional readings that are not listed here (visit the main workshop website to see those). In addition, we are in the process of compiling a more comprehensive bibliography.
Introductory Texts
Wasserman and Faust. 1994. Social network Analysis. Cambridge.
Although dated and rather technical, this is an excellent reference book. Most comprehensive text available. Not the easiest to read. Perhaps best used in combination with some of the other intro books
Scott, J. 2001. Social network analysis: A handbook.
A good blend of comprehensiveness without being too technical.
Knoke and Kuklinski. Network Analysis. Sage.
One of the green book series. Very short.
