Welcome to the Lindberg Group Webpage

The Lindberg group uses theoretical and computational chemistry to understand the behavior of complex condensed phase systems. Theoretical and computational chemistry are generally applicable to understanding the world around us, and we are applying them to help develop materials for new clean energy technologies, explain weird observations in the outer solar system, and to understand biological systems. There are a few ongoing projects in the group, but a few are the study of phase behavior in heterogeneous environments like solid-liquid interfaces, amorphous polymers, and multiphase systems, the dynamics of gas mixtures in nanoporous materials, and we are looking into the molecular origins of ion, water and gas behavior in polymer membranes relevant for fuel cells and supercapacitors. For more information, see the research overview page. Feel free to explore the site to see what we are up to and we are looking for dedicated undergraduate and graduate students so be sure to check out the opportunities page to see our openings. Please email if you have any questions.
