I am passionate about my learning and keeping up to date with current research. As a practitioner I take learning very seriously, and view continuous personal development to update my skills as a necessity. This enhances my professional knowledge and provides an evidence-base for practice in ways that benefit my clients.
I attend regular conferences and workshops on a variety of topics and through this interaction with other practitioners I am able to gain new perspectives and insight into different approaches. This enhances my competency, knowledge and skills which I am able then able to share with you.
In addition to this, I ensure that I complete some of my e-learning online, using reliable electronic resources, reading professional journals and by listening to relevant podcasts and academic research articles.
I also keep up to date with the law, regulations and any other requirements, from my governing body the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
