Your Neighborhood Watch Program would like to provide a means of keeping our residents updated on crime activity in Limeridge. Whenever a homeowner is a victim of theft, vandalism or any type of crime, it affects us all. It is not only important that you protect your family and home but that we work together to keep our neighborhood safe. We are asking for your cooperation and support in this endeavor and would like to provide you with a few ways you can help.
Report crime activity.
If you are a victim of any type of crime activity, please call the Concord Police Department at 671-3333, or 911 in case of emergency. While you may feel that there is no immediate danger or that the police would be unable to do anything, it is important that they are notified. Then, at your earliest convenience, we would appreciate if you could contact our Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, Brad Morimune, at 674-9126, and report the incident.
Neighborhood Watch *ALERT* notification.
When a report is received, an ‘Alert’ will be sent out by email to our residents that have provided us with their email address. The purpose of this message will be twofold. First, we want to keep our neighbors updated on any crime activity to hopefully prevent any further incidents of a similar nature, and second, you may have seen something in the immediate area of the crime that may provide the police with a potential lead in their investigation. The address of the home will not be used but a general location will be given for reference.
Reporting suspicious activity.
If you notice any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, please make note of any information that may be relevant to a police investigation.
Suspicious vehicles:
For example, watch for any vehicle that: makes repeated trips through the neighborhood, slowly drives through the neighborhood, is occupied and parked in front of a home at an unusual hour, or appears to have been abandoned on the street.
How to report your suspicions:
Get the license plate number; note the make and model of the vehicle; get a general description of the vehicle (i.e., color, any dents, decals, or bumper stickers, etc.)
Suspicious people:
Be alert for people who: are going door to door and acting suspicious (i.e., looking through a window); hanging around the park after hours; running through the neighborhood while carrying valuables items; or strangers sitting in a car or standing on a street corner, talking on a cell phone (they may be acting as a lookout).
How to report your suspicions to the police:
Give a description of the person, including estimated age, height, and weight; the person’s sex and race, hair color, details about clothing, etc.
You can also report suspicious activity to
Bay Area Patrol at (510) 440-9160.
At this time, they make six separate and random patrols through our neighborhood daily between dusk and dawn.
Witnessing a crime.
If you witness a crime in progress, please call 911 immediately and do not attempt to intervene. From a safe location, make notes of any observations that may be helpful in a police investigation.
Be a good neighbor.
We would like to get our Neighborhood Watch Program organized and active and cannot succeed without your support. Let’s work together with our neighbors to monitor activity in your area, let them know if you will be away for more than a day so they can keep an eye on your property, and leave a telephone number you can be contacted at in case of an emergency.
If you should have any questions, please give me a call
