Cam Jansen's real name is Jennifer but due to her awesome photographic memory her friends started calling her Camera because it was like her mind was always taking pictures of the things going on around her.  Then the nickname Camera was shortened to Cam and the rest is history.  Cam uses her camera like memory in order to help her remember evidence and solve mysteries.  With her best friend Eric by her side their is nothing that Cam can't do.
