LAMP Band & Choir - Course No. 6311

Grades 7-8, Junior High Elective

The Lathrop Area Music Program was established in 2009 and is comprised of Junior High Band and Choir members from Widmer, Lathrop, and Mossdale Elementary. The LAMP Ensembles will be at their highest enrollment since 2009 serving over 90 band and choir students from our three elementary schools. Students are dropped off in the morning at Lathrop High for their music elective and are dropped back off to their respective school by school bus. The LAMP Band is led by Ms. Desiree Bugarin, and the LAMP Choir is led by Ms. Van Eerde.

LAMP Band students have the opportunity to audition for the MUSD Jr. High School Honor Ensemble. LAMP Choir Students will have the opportunity to audition and participate in some of the High School fundraiser performances. They also perform at the Yearly, Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Lathrop Community Center! LAMP Band Students participate at some home football games with the Lathrop High Band, perform in the Lathrop Holiday Parade, Winter and Spring Concerts, and will have the opportunity to perform at other local events throughout the year.
