Fresh Water Pump Wiring

With the original wiring for the fresh water pump +12v ran from the source behind the lower helm to the switch by the galley sink then to the switch by the aft cabin sink. When either switch was turned on, +12 flowed to the pump. For the aft cabin switch, this was about 40' of undersized wire. If both switches were turned on, the pump ran faster.

I used the existing wiring to energize a relay that's mounted near the pump and wired with #10 wire. The pump is happy now.
