Your task is to work in a group of 3 or 4 classmates to "walk in the shoes of Lewis and Clark". You will trace their steps along the expedition. You will experience everything they experienced along the way. You will collect information and map your route, just like Lewis and Clark did during their expedition. At the end of your "trip" you will create a Meograph of your experience. Your Meograph should include an introduction, at least 8 important points of interest along the trail with information about what happened or was discovered, along with the dates, and a conclusion that responds to the prompt "Do you think the Lewis and Clark expedition was important to the development of the United States of America--why or why not?" (defend your choice using evidence from what you learned). So as you gather your research, your group should be coming up with a response to that prompt. You will assign roles in your group to help with your research. Have a great trip!
