Today I received an allegation letter from the police department of California for a hit and run case. I am writing this letter to clear up the misunderstanding around this incident.

I would like to mention that the car, with number CL 8754, which is accused of hitting the victim on April 21st, 2022 at Henry Lane, California does not belong to me any longer as I had sold this car to Mr. Joseph Grand, residing at 12/A, New Heights Apartments, California on April 5th, 2022. He was supposed to get the ownership transferred to his name as I was out of country for a month.

I returned to California on April 30th, 2022 and on receiving the allegation letter, I got to know that the ownership is still in my name. I will make sure that I get the paperwork for ownership transfer completed as soon as possible to avoid any such confusions in future.
