Time commitment: ~5 hours spread over five days.
Who: Any university educator (including TAs and postdocs), any discipline, any country is welcome.

Description:
Teaching is often a solitary practice -- we rarely invite colleagues into our classrooms or see how our colleagues teach, often due to academic structures and because it can feel intimidating. But discussions and feedback from peers can offer wonderful opportunities to strengthen our teaching skills, whether we're just starting out, or have been teaching for many years.
In this course, we'll get familiar with peer observations of teaching as a way to develop our teaching skills. We will reflect on potential fears around being observed, consider features of productive and equitable feedback, and do practice observations together. At the end of the course, participants can sign up to partner with another classmate to do reciprocal observations together.
Participants who complete the course can receive a digital badge from BCcampus.
