General Actions

• Make sure you fill the logbook with the relevant information for the run, enter time and action, for example: 10:20 start a new run with trigger on three scintillators
• It is mandatory to fill the Run List table
• Never stop DAQ programs on Silicon data taking machine, use only the window as shown below

Data Taking

Muon DAQ

• It has to be started before the silicon DAQ
• Make sure you are in ubuntu shell (bottom left, see picture)
• Go in the directory /home/driver/Xilinx_Answer_65444_Linux_Files/tests
• Type : sudo python daqstart.py (no password should be requested..)
• It has to be stopped after the silicon DAQ with command CTRL-C

Silicon DAQ

• It has to be started after the muon DAQ
• FIll in the info in the window in figure and then click GO

• It has to be stopped before the muon DAQ
• Click STOP RUN on the window in figure
• Never stop or kill the DAQ program!!

Monitoring

HV of absorbers and lead glass PMT

Please double check the ASUS laptop located close to the Silicon det PC ONCE a HOUR for possible trips on the GECO HV control sw or for the GECO disconnection.

In case of a tripped channel put a note on the logbook with the time of the trip and try to power cycle the channel (select "Pw" for the specific channel and push the space bar)

You might find the GECO disconnected, please restart it (icon on the desktop and password admin)

If GECO keeps disconnecting please restart the PC (this is due to problems with the wi-fi connection). The user is "Francesco" with no password.

In case of reboot of the DT PC located close to the detector, in the rescricted area
