Dear Comrades and Members,

After many successful years, Centennial Legion Branch 160’s Project 100 officially concluded on July 19, 2026.

Although we are saddened to see Project 100 come to an end, we would like to invite both former and current Project 100 volunteers (and calling new volunteers) to continue helping with Branch operations, important maintenance and repairs as they arise. Please take a moment to read the attached poster and consider how you might help support the future of Centennial Branch 160.

To all past and present Project 100 members, the Centennial Legion Branch 160 Executive and General Membership would like to say to:

“Thank you, and job well done!”

We all greatly appreciate the support provided by the current and former Project 100 volunteers over the years. Your work made it possible to complete many necessary repairs and improvements, helping to keep our Branch open, safe and compliant with required standards.

The volunteers’ dedication to recognizing areas that needed improvement, planning the projects and carrying out the repairs has been invaluable. Much of their hard work may have gone unseen, but the results have been appreciated and enjoyed by everyone who uses our Branch.

The work Comrade Doug Haney organized and the entire Project 100 volunteer team will be greatly missed, but their dedication and accomplishments will not be forgotten. Bravo Zulu.

For anyone who may have missed the July 30, 2026 membership email from Project 100 Coordinator Doug Haney, his message is included below:

PROJECT 100 MEETING — JULY 19, 2026

“The project members had a meeting on July 19, and it was agreed that Project 100 would officially shut down on July 19, 2026. It has been a great run for both the project members and the Branch members, and so much has been accomplished.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members, past and present, for their unwavering support of the project. Without your support, none of what we accomplished would have been possible.

Like all things, there is a time to shut it down, and we have reached that time.

That being said, our building is getting older, and maintenance and repairs will continue to be necessary. We therefore need to establish a new volunteer maintenance team to work with our House Committee to identify concerns, plan projects and help complete future repairs.

If you notice an area of the Branch that requires attention — and especially if you have the knowledge or skills to help repair it, please let our House Chair know.

The Executive team will be working with Bill to help coordinate and help any interested maintenance volunteers, so that we can work together to determine how future repairs should be assessed, planned and completed.

Whether you previously volunteered with Project 100 or would like to become involved for the first time, your help would be greatly appreciated. Please read the attached poster and consider volunteering with us as we continue caring for Centennial Legion Branch 160.

The biweekly Veterans Coffee is on Summer Break until Saturday September 19th.
