A.S.B.L. Le Fusil Arlon

Presentation
"Le Fusil" has been created by a few devotees in 1974 as an unincorporated association, with Mr René Desiron as first president (from 1974 to 1975), quickly replaced by Mr Robert Berck (from 1975 to 1982) and himself replaced by Mr Michel Vander Elst (from 1982 to 2019). Its activities growing quickly, "Le Fusil" has been forced to adopt new status as well as bigger building.
The association "Le Fusil, Association de Collectionneurs d'Antiquités Militaires et Uniformes" (F.A.C.A.M.U.) exists in its current form since 1984. Its purpose is to contribute to the conservation of the military heritage by organizing exchange shows between collectors. At its creation, the association was organizing its militaria show at the "Maison Blanche" at Arlon (1974), before moving to the "Salle le Printemps" at Arlon (1976) and finally at the polyvalent Hall of Arlon (1984) with a surface of 3000m².
These shows are scheduled every two months and allow finding – in full compliance with Belgian law – items, documents & various souvenirs related to multiple conflicts. If the two world wars are the most represented, it is also possible to acquire items from the napoleonian area to the ongoing conflicts.
Mostly based on associate members, the militaria show organized by "Le Fusil" gathers 160 sellers registered for the year and is one of the most important regular show in Europe.

Firearms in firing state are forbidden, excepted:
- Firearms loaded from the breech, the muzzle or the cylinder front, exclusively with black powder or using black powder cartridges with separated primer, whose model or patent is prior to 1890 and whose manufacturing is prior to 1945.
- Firearms using exclusively black powder cartridges with integrated primer, whose model or patent is prior to 1890 and whose manufacturing is prior to 1945.
- Firearms manufactured prior to 1895.
Firearm parts such as barrel, breech, bolt or magazine (law from the 07/01/2018) are considered like the weapon to which they belong to and are then submitted to the same rules.
Concerning the neutralizing of firearms, in compliance with the implementing regulation and its annex 2015/2403 from the European Commission dated from the 15 December 2015, only firearms neutralized after the 08 April 2016 are allowed to be put on sale. "Personnal" neutralizings as well as official ones prior to the previous date are forbidden.
Signal guns cannot be put on sale as they are only available off-the-shelf on the sole condition that legitimate reasons for possessing them can be justified, reasons which are difficult to prove at a militaria show.
Concerning the presence or the sale of cases or ammunitions of a caliber higher than 12,7mm or .50'', these ones will be allowed only if we can observe that they are inert without manipulating them.
We remind you that any ostentatious Nazi insignia (swastika, runes...) has to be masked.
In addition to the eventual legal proceedings, any offender shall be liable to the lifetime ban.
NOTE: for security reasons, it is strictly forbidden to obstruct the access of emergency exits, as well as to park any vehicle in the alley surrounding the building. It is also forbidden to obstruct residents’ parking areas as well as improperly occupying parking places reserved for PRMs (People with Reduced Mobility).
