Explore the diverse ecosystems of San Diego County with the Living Coast Discovery Center! Throughout the week, campers will walk local trails, discovering native plants and animals while learning about the importance of our local habitats. Through hands-on experiences, animal encounters, and citizen science activities, campers will connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of the environment.

During Camp, we will:
Day 1:
Learn about our coastal sage scrub habitat.
Work on an origami craft.
Meet an animal.
Day 2:
Go on a field trip to Otay Lakes County Park.
Learn about the chaparral ecosystem.
Meet a Living Coast animal ambassador.
Day 3:
Learn about coastal ecosystems.
Participate in an animal feeding.
Observe plankton and brine shrimp under a microscope.
Day 4:
Go on a field trip to the Tijuana Estuary.
Meet a reptile.
Learn about wetlands and our local watershed.
Day 5:
Learn about riparian ecosystems.
Go on a beach cleanup.
Meet an animal ambassador.
