Dig into sustainability with the Living Coast! In this adventure filled camp, students will learn all about the different elements of sustainability, horticulture, and water conservation around San Diego County. They'll have the opportunity to learn Living Coast sustainability practices firsthand, and enjoy up close animal encounters.
All camp schedules and activities are subject to change based off organizational and animal needs.
During Camp, we will:
Day 1:
Meet an animal.
Learn about horticulture.
Make a craft.
Day 2:
Go on a field trip to Otay Valley Regional Park.
Learn about watershed ecology.
Meet a Living Coast animal ambassador.
Day 3:
Learn all about composting.
Have an awesome animal encounter.
Make a craft with compost.
Day 4:
Go on a field trip to the Water Conservation Garden.
Meet an animal.
Learn about water preservation.
Day 5:
Learn about the 6 R's of sustainability.
Meet an animal ambassador.
Participate in a beach clean up.
