Lantern Parade

The Lantern Parade was a community and participatory art project, which brought together the North Kensington community during the long and dark winter night.

Based on a series of lanterns making workshops in local primary schools and community centres, the project culminated in a Lantern Parade event which claimed back the night in our local park.

All the workshop participants, families and locals walked together alongside musicians and performers in lit costumes.

At the end of the night walk we had a delicious community soup catered by the young people form Global Generation Youth Programme.
