I am a refugee from a former Soviet Union ( 30 years ago I became a U.S. citizen). I've gotten education in my former home country. I got master degree in music, history, performance and theory from State University, Music Department.
I was blessed by having an opportunity to study piano with the great piano performer and piano professor Gleb Krilov, the chairman of the piano department of this University.
I have already more then 30 years experience in teaching private piano and performance in various music schools of Houston and in my private studio.
My professional development is always up-to-date: I have attended the complete Suzuki Teacher Training of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Also, to be on the leading edge of teaching I attend numerous professional workshops and seminars.
My memberships include: The National Piano Guild Society, American College of Musicians, Cypress Creek Music Teachers Association (CCMTA), and Houston Area Suzuki Piano Association (HASPA).
My students are prepared to perform in Musicals, Festivals, Recitals, Ensembles and Duets, Auditions, and Competitions.
My students have opportunities to participate in Theory tests.
Many of my students excel in these events and receive awards.
In addition, my students may take master classes with leading American teachers.
Some of my students volunteer to play in churches and assisted living residences. Some of them are accepted at colleges with a major in music. I always have a few adults, who can finally make their dream of music come true.
My professional activities are:
- Chairman of CCMTA,
-Chaiman of HASPA
Master Classes’ / Houston Suzuki Association/,
- Judge of National Piano Guild Auditions, American College of Musicians.
I am a recognized member of the National Honor Roll of Guild Teachers.
