My story!
My story!
For several years now, I have flown over the countryside of Belgium and have always been amazed by how beautiful everything looked from up in the air. To share them with friends and relatives, I started taking pictures during flights.
In 2008, the deputy mayor of the town of Gouvy, in Belgium, discovered by chance one of my photos. After meeting, she asked me to photograph the towns of her county as well as strategic points for the department of urbanism and for the one of tourism.
I was already registered as an independent agent at that time; I also had a full liability insurance for paramotoring and was all set for the job!
During summer 2008 and whenever the weather permitted, I took off with my camera. It took me about ten flying hours to finish the job and submit the pictures to the county. The following year, Manhay county asked me to do the same areal work.
Paramotoring allows the taking of aerial pictures at a very reasonable cost. Because of the engine, it is easy to go over an area that needs to be pictured (based on safety rules) and is much less noisy and expensive than a plane or a helicopter.
