What Happened in 2011
One of the new events last year was the steam ploughing by the Daniel Brothers.
Huge steam engines at each end of the field winched the plough up and down the furrows. This is in addition to the harvesting of the wheat with vintage machinery, threshing and milling, with bread to sample made from the resulting flour.
Also there was Sheaf Pitching - both have a go and a competition
There was of course the usual wide variety of other events during the weekend including:

In 2011 the main support from the Rally was for the Phoenix Stroke Appeal and FLEET and as always Lanlivery Parish Church. Despite the unhelpful weather these charities each received £1750. Small funds were also donated to very local organisations i.e. Lostwithiel Scouts, the Village Hall, and Granite Towers (the community magazine for Lanlivery and Luxulyan)
