Linguistically Sri Lanka is a diverse country. Much of the research on the languages in the country is inaccessible due to poor digital library resources and a lack of communication among researchers. Researchers often have little knowledge of existing or ongoing research on related topics. This site collects information on research done on the languages of Sri Lanka.

There are languages used in Sri Lanka in addition to the languages listed on the sidebar. Some examples are the languages used by Borah and Memon communities in the country. We  welcome any information on research on such languages as well.

Please email me at kaushalya at english dot cmb dot ac dot lk if you have work that you want to add to this site or if any links are broken. Details of how to do this are on the sidebar.
