Squaliformes Goodrich 1909


Very rare shark order in local Eocene sands, in spite of it's present-day distribution: the only recent shark species of Ukraine belongs to this order.

     A distinctive tooth with "carcharhiniform" crown and "squatiniform" root. Notice serrations on the mesial edge.
