As part of CeMEB I am studying genetic and phenotypic differences between goby populations along a salinity gradient from the Bay of Bothnia to the North Sea.
I am also part of an initiative (IMAGO) to perform whole genome sequencing of 8 non-model organisms, of which sand goby is one. The sand goby genome was published in 2021 (https://academic.oup.com/jeb/article/34/1/138/7326554#supplementary-data), as part of this paper:
