On the way Friday the 6th with my 1198 in Jeremy's truck --- 880 miles in one day.
Facilities at Miller are world class
Mark got there early and reserved us some great garage space
Mark's new 1199, Scott's 2 Aprilias RSV4 and MKII RS250 Challenge, and my 1198.
Had lockers, benches, TV with Speed channel, AC power, and rest room right next to our slot.
We also grabbed a table, and Mark's friend Lisa set out a great lunch/snack spread.
Sat morning I noticed I had almost no clutch. During the lunch break, I asked a random 1098 owner near us in the garage a simple question about his clutch, 10 minutes later he had whipped out a bleeding setup, bled my master and slave cylinders, and my clutch was perfect. (Turns out he too was from Seattle.)

Saturday night, back to the great Red Iguana
Jeremy loosening a sticky starter crank
Mark's face as red as his bike. Was in the 90s both days.
The amazing 3500 foot long front straight (170 indicated = 160 real mph)
Turn 23 leading to the straight. Long stretch of gravel, then air bags, and then tire barrier. Makes it easier to go fast.
My new tires got broke in very quickly. 180 miles on Saturday and 123 on Sunday.
We used the full 4.5 mile track, the longest track in North America.
You Tube Vid of 1 Lap from an RSV (I enter the vid at 2:15 at turn 10 and exit the track at 4:00 at turn 23)

When they said they were running the A and B groups all as one, I was nervous, but after Dave Moss's great improvement to my front suspension, and Keigwins's Patrick Flora's great advice on corner entry, I had the best track days ever. I never felt so comfortable and confident entering turns; it made the riding so much more fun. At reqistration, they said that the break between A and B would have been 4:00 min laps, and since I did a 3:47.8 I think it was fair to use the A sticker. (Of course still getting my ass whooped by the racers, but fun being near them for a few seconds before they disappeared in front of me.)
