As a Social Studies teacher, I work to create active and engaging students centered around students needs. During my teaching career, I have created and implemented lessons for U.S. History, Economics, World History, Civics, and Geography. My lessons combine the necessary Social Studies content and skills to create informed, active, and engaged citizens in our global society.

Neolithic Revolution

For this Middle School World History Course, we asked the question: "Did the agricultural lifestyle improve human lives?" and focused on the supporting question, "How did the Neolithic Revolution change human lives?"

Inquiry Units: World Geography

World Geography: These activities focused on the physical geography of the Middle East. We identified the main physical geographic features and analyzed how it affected the culture and politics of the countries. (Credit to Troup County, Georgia where I used their notes/activities and adapted them for my classroom.)
