MUOI

Muoi

Korean double-disc release

While I wasn't a tremendous fan of this film, there is no denying that the artwork made for its promotion was wonderfully eye catching and among the most alluring of any Korean film. The Korean release comes with a side-loading slipcase (still have the cellophane and sticker on mine), with standard clam shell. The packaging offers an abundance of artwork variations.

Pirate version #1

Not to be out done, the Chinese pirate versions of MUOI are nothing short of spectacular from a design standpoint. And will the transfers are equally sweet, the software-generated subtitles are just horrendous on all three pirate versions below, making the film's story totally unintelligible.

- Gate fold slipcase -  striking to say the least. Cover and spine titles are raised and glossy coated. The four panels on the back are also glossy coated as seen by their darker color on the scan.

- Horrible subtitles as is the case with most releases by Meifu DVD - notice the big red M on the spines.

Pirate version #2

The cover of this gate fold slipcase is preferred to even the official Korean release.

-  Titles on front and spine are raised and glossy coated.

-  Cover image of the girl wrapped in hair is (as you can see by its darkened scan appearance) nicely glossy coated giving it a 3D appearance.

-  Yellow sticker in the top corner, and various spine logos & labels denote this version from #3 below.

Pirate version #3

The cover of this gate fold slipcase is identical to the one above save the sticker and different labels & logos one the cover and at the bottom of the spines.

-  Cover girl in hair is glossy coated.

-  Inside cover gray credit box differs from pirate version #2

-  On the back cover, a red box appears in the DVD spec box - compare with #2 above.

-  Titles on front on spine are raised and glossy coated.
