Petroleum Jetty, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
This jetty for the import and export of petroleum products within the Bintulu Harbour was designed and supervised by The Firm in 1988.
450m Container Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The new wharf was designed to accommodate vessels up to 65,000 DWT with draught 12.5m. It is equipped with crane rails for the container gantry cranes (2nd generation & Panamax class).
The main scope of the works is the construction and completion of 450m metre long wharf extension and approximately 220,000m2 of adjoining Operation and Storage Yard.
LNG3 Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The new berth was designed to cater for LNG tankers up to 145,000m3 size. Because of tight schedule of delivering the jetty for topworks construction and final startup, innovative design allowing rapid construction technique was adopted without relaxation to the high standards and quality of works.
The design of this jetty was fully carried out by the firm in-house Malaysian Professionals. The firm also participated in the construction supervision of the jetty which was completed within the targeted schedule and budgeted cost.
2nd LNG Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The Firm participated in the design and construction of the 2nd LNG Berth.
The project scope included a considerable amount of capital dredging. The Firm designed the improvement to the navigation channel, the turning basin and the LNG-2 harbour for the safe handling and ease of manoeuvrability of LNG tankers.
The Firm also designed the reclamation scheme which ensured the future usability and expansion of the Port on this reclaimed land.
Bintulu Port Master Plan, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The Firm undertook a Master Plan study for the Bintulu Port for the development of a second harbour and access channel up to year 2010. Planning and engineering by in house professionals address a multitude of issues relevant to the Bintulu Port situation.
Coastal Protection Scheme At LNG Complex, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
Coastal Protection to protect vital installation of MLNG / MLNG DUA / MLNG TIGA against severe coastline erosion was designed and supervised by the Firm in 2002 to 2003.
Shell MDS Jetty, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
This Shell Jetty in Bintulu was designed by The Firm. The design and construction took three and ten months respectively, as the project was critical to the timely export of the petrochemical products from the Shell MDS plant through this marine facility.
The Firm was able to incorporate innovative construction technique to the design to allow rapid construction to the high standards and quality of works.
Capital Dredging, Reclamation And Shore Protection Works, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
This project involved capital dredging of a new access channel and New Second Inner Harbour basin. A total of 30.5 million cubic meter of dredged volume was recorded. The suitable dredged material was utilised for reclaiming a port land of 110 hectare in anticipation of future development. A 2.7km long detached breakwater and 1.6km long submerged breakwater were constructed to protect the approximately 12km coastline South of the Port.
The Firm participated both in design and construction of the project. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budgeted cost.
LPG Jetty, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The LPG is designed by The Firm on a fast-track programme using in-house Malaysian Professionals who have the specialist capabilities and expertise to carry out the design of such a specialised and sophisticated marine structure.
