Sreecharan completed his BSc triple majors (Physics Chemistry & Mathematics) and Masters in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry specialization) in Christ University, Bengaluru, India. During his undergraduate he has worked on Organocatalyzed asymmetric synthesis in IIT-Madras, India. And in his Masters he worked on synthesis and study of metal sensing properties for the derivatives of Curcumin. In fall 2022 he joined Konkolewicz research group in Miami University.
Bhagya received her undergraduate Bsc Hons in Biochemistry from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. Bhagya did undergraduate research in the fields Biochemistry. Since joining Miami University and the Konkolewicz/Page groups in fall 2021, Bhagya works in Protein polymer conjugation, focusing on understanding how polymer structure impacts bioconjugate performance.
Kavindya Ekanayaka completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2023. Her undergraduate research, “Exploring Novel Bioactivities from Garcinia quaesita Fresh Fruits”, was published as an abstract in the Tri-Annual Publication of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (2022), and her full research article, “Evaluation of Phytochemical Composition and Novel Bioactivities from Fresh Fruit of Garcinia quaesita Pierre”, was published in the Indian Journals.
She joined the Konkolewicz Group at Miami University in Fall 2024. Her initial research focused on calculating the errors and consistency of Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). Her research also involves the combinatorial design and screening of dynamic polymer networks Ligand metal coordination and chemically fueled crosslinking.
Raji received his B.Tech. (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria in September, 2016. In the course of his undergraduate program, he researched on the determination of heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. After graduation, he joined advanced functional materials research group in Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China as a research assistant. He engaged in the design, synthesis, characterization and fabrication of conjugated polymers for organic solar cells.
In fall 2021, he joined Konkolewicz research group where his research would focus on responsive and fueled polymer materials.
Chamoni Rashmika completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka (2019). Her undergraduate research, 'Phytoextraction of Diazinon Residue by Aquatic plant Schoenoplectus grossus ' was published as an abstract in International Research Symposium on Pure and Applied Sciences 2019, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. She joined the Konkolewicz group at Miami University in Spring 2021. Her research focus mainly will be on chemically fueled polymer materials.
Muhammad Zeeshan Shah Kazmi completed BS in Chemistry from University of Sargodha, Pakistan (2011-2015) and Master's in chemistry from Government College University Faislabad, Pakistan (2015-2017). He researched on degradation of persistent carcinogenic organic industrial dyes during his MPhil. He also earned Master's in Education degree from AIOU, Pakistan (2018-2019) and studied Leadership in Education from LUMS Pakistan (2019-2020). He has served as CTI- Lecturer for chemistry at Degree College Jhumra, Pakistan (2015-2016), Science-Math teacher at GHS 188 RB Faislabad, Pakistan (2016-2017) and Assistant Education Officer in Punjab Pakistan (2017-2020). He joined Konkolewicz and Page groups at Miami University in 2020, where his research focuses on protein-polymer conjungation.
Camryn Smith received her B.S. in forensic chemistry from Ohio University in May of 2025. During her undergraduate studies, Camryn worked on gunshot residue analysis. Camryn joined the Konkolewicz lab in Fall of 2025 working on projects in polymer chemistry, analysis and photochemistry.
Ranjita was born in Nepal and completed her Master’s degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, in 2022. She conducted her master's thesis on the topic "In silico prediction of naturally occurring quinones as a potential drug for SARS-CoV-2" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Niranjan Parajuli. During her master's program, she co-authored six research papers. In fall 2023, she joined the Konkolewicz group at Miami University, where her research focused on the application of Vinyl ether-Maleic anhydride polymers.
Sachini Weerasinghe completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka (2019). She worked on an inorganic chemistry project as her undergraduate research. In Spring 2021, she joined Miami university and Konkolewicz group. Her research focuses on the design of precision macromolecules for various materials applications including dynamic materials and time dependent materials. Her synthetic focus is precision and high molecular weight polymers.
