My Work Profile

I am, basically, from the background of Physics with my postgraduate from Osmania University and proceeded to a Doctoral degree in Applied Mechanics from Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR). My PhD dissertation is “Investigation of dynamic instability in elastic structures”. Towards this PhD thesis work, I have used finite element method (FEM) and have developed MATLAB based codes for static, dynamic and nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis of beams, plates, shells, fluids etc. I have also gained knowledge on seismic analysis and testing while performing experiments on shake table for sloshing dynamics of fluid filled shells. After PhD, I have worked as Research Associate in IGCAR for one year. During this period I worked on meshless methods; worked on smoothed particle hydrodynamics writing code in MATLAB for fluid dynamics related problems.

At present I am working as Scientist - B in Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS). My interests here are Numerical Modelling of Tsunami.
