First Annual Diaper Drive
June 8 & 9, 2024

Our Council collected 13, 329 diapers (plus $130 cash for the purchase of additional diapers), and 13,607 wipes for mothers in need of assistance at Hope House, Marisol Health and Little Flower Maternity Home.

Holy Land Pilgrimage

Six of our Knights and Spirit of Christ Pastor (and Knight), Fr. Chris Renner, enjoyed an afternoon on the Sea of Galilee durning a parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in late May/early June 2023.

Supporting the NALC "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive with Community Table, Arvada

On May 13, 2023, Knights from 12979 "fed the army" of volunteers working the annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive, locally benefiting Community Table of Arvada, CO. Our fine chefs cooked food for 175 volunteers who gathered and packed 64,000 pounds of in 8 hours.

Shining Knight Awardee

Jason Pasionek, State Warden, presents Council 12979's Andrew Hack, with his Shining Knight Award at the January Business Meeting.

To become a Shining Knight, members must:

• Be involved in at least 3 council Faith in Action programs.
• Attend at least 3 council meetings.
• Attend an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
• Meet with your council’s insurance representative or attend a fraternal benefits night.
• Sponsor at least one man who becomes a member of the Order.
