Hi, my name is Kiahara and I am from the regional town of Scone. Here I completed my primary and secondary schooling. From here I moved to the United Kingdom by myself to experience work life outside of Australia for a Gap year. Being just eighteen at the time moving across the globe from family was a massive step for me. I am so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone into an entirely unfamiliar environment, which has encouraged my personal growth and independence. On my return, I started my Bachelor of Nursing at Armidale. The paediatric side of nursing I believe is where I truly believe I will thrive and after I graduate, I hope to work in this field of nursing. I am an outgoing passionate person that strives to do better each day. I set goals to achieve so that I feel like I have accomplished something new. I have always had a soft spot for the younger generations, especially when watching my younger siblings go through so many health-related issues, it has engaged my perspective on becoming a health care worker.
